The average gross profit made per home flip in the United States decreased slightly in 2022, reflecting the cooling of the housing market and a slower growth in house prices. In 2022, the typical gross profit on home flips was nearly 68,000 U.S. dollars, down from 70,000 U.S. dollars in 2021. House flipping is a real estate term which refers to the practice of an investor buying property with the aim of reselling them for a profit. The investor either invests capital into each respective property in the form of renovations or simply resells the properties if home prices are on the rise.
