Share of second-hand consumers in Finland 2023, by type
According to a 2023 survey, around 31 percent of Finnish consumers regularly repair and maintain goods. Recycling is a regular practice among them when their items are no longer needed. In the circular economy, nearly two-fifths of consumers occasionally buy second-hand items, while more than one-third sell goods. Renting used goods is rare, as only nine percent do so occasionally.
