The highest share of female top managers in the world in 2023 was found in countries in East Asia and the Pacific. In this region, over one third of top managers were women. With one fifth of top managers being women, Latin America and the Caribbean had the second highest share. On the other hand, only six percent of the top managers in the Middle East and North Africa were women. Worldwide, there were 19 percent female top managers that year.
