U.S. consumer spending on home entertainment rentals 2019-2022, by type
Consumer spending on non-digital home entertainment rentals in the United States dropped in recent years. In 2022, it generated around 502 million U.S. dollars, down significantly from over 1.4 billion in 2019. Meanwhile, home entertainment rental expenditures including video-on-demand decreased by about 1.2 billion U.S. dollars to 2.18 billion U.S. dollars in 2022.
