Ethereum Classic (ETC) circulating supply history up until September 22, 2022
The circulating supply of Ethereum Classic - an alternative to Ethereum cryptocurrency - grew only marginally after the Ethereum Merge in September 2022. This despite a significant price decline during this timeframe, as miners with expensive computing rigs went looking for mining alternatives after the original Ethereum (ETH) changed from Proof-of-Work (mining) to Proof-of-Stake (staking). This search was especially reflected in the Ethereum Classic hashrate - the computing power needed to mine - which increased substantially when the Ethereum Merge arrived.
