U.S. adults on the importance of inclusive false information algorithms 2021
A November 2021 online survey conducted in the United States found that 67 percent of respondents said it was extremely or very important for social media firms to include people of different racial and ethnic groups when creating algorithms that find false information. Overall, 65 percent of people felt that it was extremely or very important that political viewpoints should be considered when designing such computer programs, whilst 63 percent thought the same about people of different genders.
