Format preference in magazine and newspaper consumption in France 2022
In early 2022, the ACPM commissioned a study in order to examine the role of paper in the digital everyday life of the French. In this context, the respondents were asked whether they read newspapers and magazines predominantly in printed or digital version. The study found that the majority of French readers preferred reading leisure magazines (59 percent), women's magazines (57 percent), TV magazines (56 percent) as well as regional weekly magazines (48 percent) on paper. In contrast, free news press (43 percent), sport magazines (44 percent) as well as national daily newspapers (49 percent) are predominantly read digitally in France.
