In an online survey conducted in April 2021, around 52 percent of respondents in the United States from the lower income tier said that they strongly favor an increase in the federal minimum wage to 15 U.S. dollars an hour. In comparison, around 25 percent of survey participants from the upper income tier said that they were strongly opposed to a minimum wage increase.
