In 2021, approximately 22,400 people died from lung cancer in Spain. The most affected age group by this type of cancer were those individuals between 65 and 74 years, with around 7,400 deaths. By gender, most deaths due to this cancer type corresponded to men, accounting for 5,730 casualities, while approximately 1,723 women within this age group died from lung cancer that year.
