Coffee-based beverages consumption index in Japan 1990-2022
In 2022, the consumption of coffee-based ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages in Japan reached an index score of 134 points. The RTD coffee specialties consumption in Japan increased gradually within the last decade, staying steadily above the consumption volume recorded in the base year 1990. In contrast, canned coffee consumption declined drastically over the decades in favor of bottled products.
