While e-commerce has been a widespread and normal phenomenon for many years now, consumers still have reasons to be skeptical about making online purchases at times. In late 2022, over 50 percent of consumers around the world said they would not buy an item online when they see bad content or bad reviews associated with the product. About a third of survey respondents stated they would pass if the brand was unfamiliar to them or if it had a poor reputation.
