Share of renewable energies in electricity in CEE 2020-2022
In 2022, Montenegro had the highest share of renewable energies in electricity production among all Central and Eastern European countries. Moldova had the smallest share, with only 5.5 percent of the energy market. Bulgaria recorded the highest percentage loss between 2021 and 2022. Within one year, the share of renewable energy fell by around 1.18 percentage points.
