Electricity transmission revenue in South America 2021-2030, by cable type
In 2021, underground transmission generated a revenue of 9.91 billion U.S. dollars in South America. This figure is forecast to reach 16 billion dollars by 2030, registering the largest growth rate in the region. Meanwhile, overhead transmission is expected to reach eight billion dollars in 2030, up from less than six billion dollars in 2021. South America's electricity transmission revenue amounted to approximately 20 billion U.S. dollars in 2021.
