Presidential election results in Slovenia 2022
Nataša Pirc Musar, attorney, author, and journalist, won the presidential election in Slovenia, whose second round was held on November 13, 2022, with nearly 54 percent of the total votes in that round. Her main opponent, Anže Logar, politician and former foreign minister of Slovenia, received the largest share of the votes in the first election round held on October 23, 2022, at almost 34 percent. However, as none of the candidates received the most votes, the second round was held. Pirc Musar will become the first female president of Slovenia when her term starts in December 2022. The voter turnout was recorded at 53.6 percent in the second round and 51.74 percent in the first round.
