Africa: value of real estate projects by type 2020

Real estate projects in Africa were valued at nearly 143 billion U.S. dollars in 2020. Commercial construction had projects exceeding a total value of 118 billion U.S. dollars. Projects in industrial construction were valued at some 21.6 billion U.S. dollars, while cultural real estate had projects worth around 300 million U.S. dollars. Overall, real estate had the highest total value for construction projects among sectors in Africa that year.
