Share of payment method usage during COVID-19 in Taiwan 2021, by method
The findings of a survey conducted in 2020 suggested that credit cards, debit cards, and cash were the most prevalent forms of payment in Taiwan during COVID-19, with respectively 99 percent and 84 percent of respondents. In the meantime, only three percent of the interviewed shoppers used prepaid cards. For in-store payments, non-card-funded mobile services were slightly more commonly used than card-funded mobile services.
