Value of intra-African exports 2019, by product
In 2019, mineral fuels and oils were the leading products traded on the intra-African export market, with a value exceeding 17 billion U.S. dollars. Pearls and stones followed, exported within the continent at around 5.4 billion U.S. dollars in total. Furthermore, machinery (including mechanical appliances and nuclear reactors), and ships and boats were also among the leading products in terms of intra-African export trade.
