In March, 2020, a survey of Australians during the novel Coronavirus pandemic revealed that 82 percent of respondents believed that the spread of the virus would get worse in the next month. Respondents were more likely to feel that the situation would worsen in the short term, but almost 60 percent believed that it would improve in one year.
