Gen Z and millennials paying for news in the U.S. 2022, by age group
According to a report held in summer 2022, under 20 percent of U.S. Gen Z and millennials aged 16 to 40 years old paid for news. Older millennials were the most likely to pay for news, whether it be online or offline, whereas Gen Z were at the other end of the spectrum in this respect, with just 11 percent paying for news apps and nine percent paying for print or digital magazines or newspapers.
