Number of store closures announced by bankrupt retailers in H1 2020 U.S.
In the first half of 2020, across the retail industry in the United States many retailers and leisure businesses filed for bankruptcy, following which came store closure announcements. JCPenney is one of the leading U.S. retailers to have done so. The retail company announced that 157 of its retail stores were to be closed as a result of going bankrupt.
