As of July 2020, airlines and other firms cancelled 313 Boeing 737 Max orders and 29 Airbus A320 family orders. The dramatic number of cancellation for the Boeing 737 Max is attributed to the two fatal groundings of the 737 Max in 2019 and the coronavirus pandemic that is affecting every airline in the world. In June 2020, Norwegian Air cancelled 97 Boeing aircraft orders, of which 92 were 737 Max orders.
