Worker shortages due to coronavirus at ports worldwide by service 2020
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, ports worldwide faced shortages of workers at various positions. Between week 21 and week 29 of 2020, the share of ports reporting shortages of dock workers decreased from 16 percent to 5 percent. Port authorities and harbor master services had very low shortages as of July 15, 2020, showing that the return to normality has also begun in ports around the world.
