Share of renewable energy in total electricity capacity in Tunisia 2011-2023
As of 2023, renewable energy constituted 11.9 percent of the total electricity capacity in Tunisia, reaching a peak in the period examined. The share of renewables increased compared to 2011, when it amounted to 2.8 percent. Despite the great potential for renewable power generation in Tunisia, the country still lags behind in the energy transition.
